This Privacy Policy explains how Free Palm Reading (“we,” “our,” or “us”) handles information when you use our website at freepalmreading.io.

How We Handle Palm Images

Palm images are the most sensitive thing you share with us, so we want to be specific about what happens to them:

  • Your browser encodes the image and sends it directly to our server as part of the reading request.
  • Our server immediately forwards the image to Anthropic (our AI provider) for analysis. We do not save it, log it, cache it, email it, or retain it in any form.
  • Anthropic returns a text reading. Only that text is passed back to your browser.
  • We — the site operators and staff — cannot view, download, or access any image you submit. No image is ever visible in our admin area, database, or server files.
  • The image exists only in memory for the few seconds needed to complete your reading. Once the reading is returned, the image is gone from our infrastructure.
  • What Anthropic does with the image on their end is governed by their own terms. Per Anthropic’s stated API policy, inputs are not used to train their models. You can review their privacy policy directly at anthropic.com/legal/privacy.

Information We Collect

Aside from palm images (covered above), we may also collect:

  • Account Information — If you register, we store your email, username, password (hashed), display name, and optional birthday for zodiac personalization.
  • Usage Data — IP address (used briefly for rate limiting and abuse prevention), reading counts, and basic technical information about your browser.
  • Payment Information — If you subscribe to premium, Stripe processes your payment. We never see or store your card number. We do store a Stripe customer ID, subscription ID, and premium status on your account so we know whether to unlock premium features.
  • Cookies — We use cookies to keep you logged in and for basic site functionality. We also use third-party analytics cookies (see “Third Parties We Use” below). Some site features require cookies to work.

Third Parties We Use

We share information with service providers only as needed to operate the site:

  • Anthropic — our AI provider, which processes palm images to generate readings. See anthropic.com/legal/privacy.
  • Stripe — payment processing for premium subscriptions. See stripe.com/privacy for details.
  • Google Analytics — anonymous usage statistics. See policies.google.com/privacy for details.
  • Hostinger — our hosting provider. Server logs may include IP addresses and request timestamps.
  • Email delivery — account-related emails (verification, password reset, premium receipts) are sent via our hosting provider’s mail infrastructure.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a merger, sale, or acquisition.

How We Use Your Information

  • Provide palm reading services and manage your account
  • Improve and personalize the experience
  • Send transactional emails (account verification, password resets, premium receipts)
  • Detect and prevent fraud and abuse
  • Comply with legal obligations

Data Retention

  • Palm images — not stored; discarded after the reading completes.
  • Account data — kept for as long as your account is active. Deleting your account removes your personal data.
  • Payment records — retained as required by law and for accounting/tax purposes, even after account deletion.
  • Analytics data — retained by Google according to their Analytics data retention policy.
  • Server logs — typically retained for a short period for security and troubleshooting.

Your Choices and Rights

  • Delete your account — log in and go to your account page to permanently delete your account and associated personal data.
  • Update your information — change your email, display name, or password from your account page.
  • Skip optional data — you don’t have to provide a birthday; the reader still works without it.
  • Opt out of analytics — block third-party cookies in your browser, or use a browser extension like Google’s Analytics Opt-out.
  • Access and correction — contact us to request a copy of the data we hold about you, or to correct it.
  • EU/UK users (GDPR) — you have the right to access, rectify, delete, restrict, or object to our processing of your data, and the right to data portability. You can also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
  • California users (CCPA/CPRA) — you have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion, correct inaccurate information, and not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell personal information.

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect your information, including password hashing, secure transmission (HTTPS), rate limiting, and nonce-based request verification. No method of internet transmission or storage is 100% secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

International Users

Our servers and AI processing providers are located in the United States. If you access the site from outside the US, your information will be transferred to and processed in the US, which may have different data protection laws than your home country.

Children

Our service is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in certain regions where applicable law requires). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be noted by updating the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of our service after changes means you accept the updated policy.
